Simpson’s account of the 1994 murders of his ex-wife and one of her friends, the company said Wednesday.

Beaufort Books was aiming for an October 3 release of the book, in which Simpson describes how he would have killed Nicole Brown Simpson and friend Ronald Goldman.

Plans by Simpson to release the book last year sparked a wave of outrage across the United States, prompting publisher HarperCollins to scrap the title and Fox News to cancel an accompanying television interview.

Simpson, 60, who always has vehemently denied involvement in the killings, was acquitted of killing ex-wife and Goldman after a racially charged trial in 1995. The verdict sparked outrage in much of America.

He was later found liable for the deaths in a 1997 civil suit and ordered to pay 33.5 million dollars in damages to Goldman’s family.

The case took a further twist when a US judge in March ruled that any income from the book should go to the Goldman family to cover the damages award made in the civil case but never paid by Simpson.

Another judge later awarded the rights of the book to the Goldman family.

A spokesman for literary agent Sharlene Martin, who handled the deal, earlier said that the book was to be repackaged by the new publisher.

The publisher “pledged to leave Simpson’s manuscript entirely intact, but they will also add key commentary,” spokesman Michael Wright said in a statement, without elaborating on the commentary.

Violations of law at a bank or by using accounts of a financial institution are commonly prosecuted in federal court as “bank fraud.”

The United States Attorney Office will seek an Indictment (a charging document formally charging the person with a crime) for bank fraud based upon a relatively non-complex theft or embezzlement of monies by a bank employee, or a more complex scheme to defraud based upon false statements, such as an overvaluation of property or securities. Also, the federal prosecutor office will seek an Indictment for bank fraud based upon a complex scheme to defraud, such as a scheme based upon a series of false loan applications and misuses of loaned monies or non-existent collateral.

The United States Code contains federal crimes that are prosecuted by the Department of Justice or its field offices, the United States Attorney Offices, in respective districts in the different states. Title 18, United States Code, Section 1344, titled Bank Fraud, makes it a crime to defraud a bank or commit a scheme to defraud regarding the accounts of a financial institution. Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 1344 reads as follows:

BANK FRAUD Whoever knowingly executes, or attempts to execute, a scheme or artifice 1) to defraud a financial institution; or 2) to obtain any of the moneys, funds, credits, assets, securities, or other property owned by, or under the custody of or control of, a financial institution, by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises; shall be fined not more than $1,000,000 or imprisoned for more than 30 years, or both.

FALSE STATEMENTS The violation of making a false statement to a financial institution is also a commonly used criminal law used to prosecute people for making misrepresentations to fact to a bank. The crime of making a false statement is often utilized when federal prosecutors are investigating a person for bank fraud or violations concerning a financial institution. Under Title 18, United States Code, Section 1014, it is a federal crime to make a false statement to a financial institution. 18 U.S. C. 1014 reads as follows (in summary):

False Statements to a Financial Institution Whoever knowingly 1) Makes a false statement, or overvalues any property 2) For the purpose of influencing an anyway 3) The action of a financial institution shall be fined not more than $1,000,000 or imprisoned for more than 30 years, or both.

Saddam Hussein, former Iraqi president was hanged to death this morning. The procutions i think it’s not fair. It look like it’s has been arrage by America. Two of Saddam Lawyer was been killed and many lawyer change during procecution.

This not suppost to happened because Saddam Hussein suppost to be protected because he was former president. Even he was make mistake when killing their enemy. If Saddam can be hang.Bush Senior and Bush Junior also should be hang and can be hang. They killed thousang of people in Iraq and Afganistan.

Why people close their eye when that blood sucker(Bush) killing innocent people in Iraq and Afganistan. More than 3000 US soldier died because his stupid action in Iraq.

Human Rights Watch criticized the execution, calling Saddam’s trial “deeply flawed.”

“Saddam Hussein was responsible for massive human rights violations, but that can’t justify giving him the death penalty, which is a cruel and inhuman punishment,” said Richard Dicker, director of Human Rights Watch’s International Justice Program.

This sentence was not right. But nothing can we do because Saddam is already dead right now. But it’s could be prevented in the future. Everyone has their right to get the best trial. We cannot assume that person guilty if there no prove.

President of any country should be protected. But this time Bush want to cover his mistake by killing Saddam. I think it just cause more violent in Iraq. I predicted there will more violent in Iraq. Sivil War will start in Iraq. The most important more US soldier will died in Iraq.

More parent will lost their sons in Iraq because of Bush mistake. US should called back all their soldier. They can be heroes at Iraq. They just wait to be killed by them because Iraq was one of US failed project. US help Iraq to stop Iran but now Iran become more stronger and Iraq was collapse with sivil war among Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq.

We as world civilians, what should we do? Just watch or try change it? Bush already lost. He should accepted. Bring back US soldier home. Let them live happily with their family and not let them died in Iraq. They don’t deserve to died because Bush want to control the world oil supply.

I’ve found an interesting article at article emporium. It’s about what to do if you has been charged..Let’s read it.

“

by: Tushar K. Pain
Why me? How could I let this happen? If I could only go back and undo what I did. It is only natural to engage in this thought process when you’ve been charged with a criminal offence. Such sentiments may be echoing repeatedly in your mind. You may even feel that you cannot stop them. However, you must in order to help yourself.

Begin by recognizing that this thought process creates feelings of helplessness and is disempowering. If you are reading this, then you are likely seeking to understand your predicament and trying to gain some measure of control over the situation. This is a major step in the right direction.

Gaining control over your emotions and thought process is essential. It is the first step in the journey ahead. Doing this will allow you to think clearly and make effective decisions. Whatever has happened to bring you to this point has already transpired. There is no benefit to re-living it and judging yourself. Accept that it has happened. You now face a challenge that you must confront.

Take a piece of paper and write “To my lawyer” at the top of the page. This will preserve the privileged nature of the document. Write down in as much detail as possible (do not worry about including irrelevant facts) everything that happened during the incident that lead to the charge. If you feel there is relevant background information then include it. Also, make notes of any questions and concerns that come to mind. This exercise serves several purposes. It preserves your memory of the events that you may be required to testify to many months down the road. It gives your lawyer a complete and accurate understanding of the situation. It helps you clarify and articulate your thoughts.

The next task is to find the right lawyer. This may seem to be a formidable task. After all, what do you know about the law? Knowledge of the law is not something you need to find the right lawyer. You are able to determine whether you like someone. You are able to judge whether you like the person’s approach. You are able to assess a person’s communication skills. You are able to appreciate how much time that person has or has not spent with you. Use these factors to guide you. You have a lifetime of experience dealing with people. Rely on it. Trust your instincts. Trust yourself.

Keep the channels of communication open. A lack of communication between a lawyer and client often leads to misunderstandings and a breakdown in the relationship. It is the lawyer’s responsibility to keep the client well-informed and updated on a regular basis. But you can and should pick up the phone anytime you have a question, a concern, an idea, or just want to know if there’s been a development in your case. A good lawyer encourages this type of contact and will make himself available to his clients. Make sure your lawyer subscribes to this philosophy and take advantage of it. The more communication you have, the better informed you and your lawyer will be. As a result, your lawyer will be able to provide more meaningful advice and you, in turn, will provide better instructions to your lawyer. In the end, you will be more satisfied with the level of service you receive from your lawyer.

Be proactive in the development of your case. Be prepared to be involved in the building of your defence. As brilliant as your lawyer may be, he does not have a first-hand knowledge of the facts. You do. You were there. The facts are everything. A good lawyer recognizes this and will set out to master the facts. To do this, he must involve you in the process. Review the evidence with your lawyer. Comment on what you agree with, what you disagree with, what you think might be missing. Share your ideas. You may come up with something your lawyer hasn’t thought of.

Finally, maintain a positive attitude. Negative feelings will creep up from time to time. This is natural and to be expected. However, do not let them interfere with your focus. Simply acknowledge them then put them aside. A positive attitude will allow you to effectively process information and advice from your lawyer; to give proper instructions to your lawyer; to convey your concerns; and to generally be useful in your defence.

Keep in mind, as bad as it seems now, you will get through this.

Although most people never expect to be charged with a crime, there can come a time when that can happen. These types of charges can range form warrants being issued for aid traffic tickets to individuals filing lawsuits against you. The best time to prepare for being charged with a crime is before it ever happens.

Since lawsuits and arrests can move quickly, it is best to understand the basic events that lead up to and constitute being charged with a crime prior to the being charged. If you are knowledgeable about the events beforehand, the process can go easier and hopefully, be less intimidating.

No matter which type of crime you are charged with, the proceedings will usually happen in a predetermined way. First, a warrant will put for your arrest. If a warrant is issued against you, you will usually be notified of the warrant by being served. Being served means that a police officer will locate you and deliver your warrant papers in person. On rare occasions, a person is arrested before being served with a warrant. In these cases, the arresting officer must show the warrant papers within a reasonable amount of time after the arrest has been made.

After you have been arrested, you will be taken to the police station to be booked. Being booked means that you will be fingerprinted and a file will be opened regarding your case. After being booked, you will generally spend a short amount of time in jail while you await your initial hearing and arrange payment for bail.

While you are in jail, you are allowed to contact an attorney. Any person charged with a crime has the right to seek legal representation. It is very important that you at least meet with an attorney before your initial hearing. If you cannot afford an attorney, or you have not chosen an attorney yet, the court can and must appoint a lawyer for you.

During the initial hearing, you will be asked to make a plea of guilty, not guilty or no contest. Your attorney will advise you as to which plea is most favorable for your situation. Even if you are guilty you may opt to plead not guilty. Some defendant’s choose to do this if they feel that the prosecutor does not have enough evidence against them to prove their case. If you plead not guilty, you will be given a trial in which it is the responsibility of the prosecution to prove your guilt. If you plead guilty or no contest, you will not be given a trail, rather you will go straight to a sentencing hearing.

If you are proven not guilty at your trial, you will be released from custody. If you are found guilty, you will be given a sentencing hearing.

A sentencing hearing is a hearing that allows all parties involved in your case to express the facts involving your case that may affect your sentence. These parties could include your accuser, yourself or persons who are defending your case.

After the hearing the judge will consider all evidence presented and then make a decision regarding your sentencing. Your sentencing could include additional jail time, monetary fines, community service or mandatory treatment programs. Depending on the severity of your crime, the evidence against you and your initial plea, the degree of sentencing could vary greatly. For smaller crimes, sentencing may only include a small fine and no jail time.

To insure that all of your rights are protected and that you receive the least sentencing possible, it is important that you hire a competent attorney and become knowledgeable about all of your rights.
